James’ Obituary Funeral services for Mr. James I. Forester, 72, of Dodge City will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday, January 26, 2019 at Hanceville Funeral Home. Mickey and Michael Presley will officiate. Interment will follow at Good Hope Cemetery.

The son of the late Ira and Mattie Higdon Forester was a heavy machinery mechanic spending most of his career in the strip mines of Walker and Jefferson counties. He is survived by his wife of 51 years, Alice Forester; a son, Mark Forester; Granddaughter, Breanna Sullivan; great granddaughter Abilene Nicole Sullivan and a sister, Iris Forester. James was preceded in death by his brother, Edsel Forester.
