Obituary for James G. Roberts James G. Roberts, 69, of Rock Island, Illinois, died Wednesday, September 19, 2018, at home. Private family services will take place later. Cremation will take place at Trimble Crematory, Moline, under the direction of Cremation Society of the Quad Cities.

Memorials may be made to the family for a fund to be established. Jim was born September 11, 1949, in East Moline, the son of Glynn William and Betty Jane (Campbell) Roberts. He married the love of his life, Mary Ann Vallejo, in 1971.

She passed away in 2009. He was a handyman and jack of all trades. He could fix anything, and often did for family and friends.

Above all else, family was the most important thing to Jim. Jim is survived by a daughter, Kim Roberts and her boyfriend, Anthony Pulliam, of Rock Island; grandchildren, Xavier Watts of Davenport, Mahneé Watts of St. Louis, Kiera Watts of Bettendorf, and Malique Roberts and Amya Pulliam, both of Rock Island; great-grandchildren, Kaydence Marie Watts, Derrick Carl Mitchell III, and one on the way; siblings, Judy (Bob) Sowers, Bill (Brenda) Roberts, John (Lyn) Roberts, Joe (Suwan) Roberts, Barry (Sue) Roberts, Becky Keehn-Roberts and Steve Roberts; and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his wife; parents; and siblings, Kathryn McIntyre and David Roberts.
