James “Jim” Albert Lee February 27, 1933 – February 04, 2019 Share this obituary Send Flowers Sign Guestbook| View Guest Book Entries James Albert (Jim) Lee, 85, of Hutchinson, died Monday, February 4, 2019, at Hospice House, Hutchinson. He was born February 27, 1933, in Vinita, OK, to Roy and Rosabelle Lee. He attended Hutchinson High School and joined the Army in 1950 where he attained the rank of Staff Sargent and proudly served our country in the Korean War.

Jim upheld his pride for the Armed Forces after his service in the Army and recently participated in the Kansas Honor Flight program going to Washington, DC. Jim was a member of First Christian Church and the longtime owner of Price Poultry in Hutchinson, KS. He loved the outdoors and treasured his time golfing, hunting and fishing.

Jim valued his Native American heritage and maintained his connection with the community. Shortly after joining the Army, Jim married his high school sweetheart Patricia L. Price on December 2, 1950. She survives him along with: son, James Lee and wife Jannifer of Montgomery, TX; daughters, Katie Flora of Hutchinson, KS, and Nancy Goss and husband Dale of Plano, TX; four grandchildren, James Lee and wife Ali of Colorado Springs, CO, Sam Lee and wife Melissa of Plymouth, MN, Morgan Chesser and husband Taylor of Dallas, TX; and Lindsey Goss of Lawrence, KS; three great-grandchildren, Taya, Jenny and Caroline; and brothers, Gene Lee of Spokane, WA, and John Lee of Queensbury, NY.

He is preceded in death by his parents. A family graveside will take place in Memorial Park Cemetery with military rites conducted by Ft. Riley Honor Guard.

Friends may sign the book from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. Thursday, February 7, 2019, at Elliott Mortuary. Memorials may be made to Kansas Honor Flight or Hospice & HomeCare of Reno County, in care of Elliott Mortuary, 1219 N. Main, Hutchinson, KS 67501.
