Obituary for James M. ” Jim” Hewitt James M. “Jim” Hewitt, age 70, passed away on Thursday, July 5, 2018 at home with his family. Jim was born in Columbus, Ohio on February 26, 1948 to Vaughn and Rose (Kreemer) Hewitt. Jim graduated from West High School then proudly served our country in the US Army.

Jim worked for many years at DCSC and Ohio Health Doctors West Hospital. He was a former member of the American Legion Post #532 and Moose Lodge #2236. Jim enjoyed fishing, hunting, watching the Denver Broncos and Ohio State Football.

He will be remembered for being a hard worker and the grill master. Preceded in death by his parents; and sister, Linda Fields. Survived by his wife of 44 years, Hester Hewitt; daughters, Michelle (Mark) Chaney and Nicole (Jason) Wiseman; grandchildren, Brittany, Shyla, Courtney, Jimmy, Tiffany and Jacob; great grandchildren, Kylee, Robbie, Kynzlee and Kayden; brother, Charles “Butch”; sisters, Wanda, Ruth, Sandy and Marie; numerous nieces and nephews; dear friends and neighbors, Joe and Terry Walburn.

Family will receive visitors from 4-7 pm on Wednesday, July 11, 2018 at the HEART and HOPE FUNERAL HOME by SCHOEDINGER, 3030 W. Broad Street, Columbus, Ohio. Graveside service and interment will be held at 11:00 am on Thursday, July 12, 2018 at Union Cemetery, 3349 Olentangy River Road, Columbus, OH 43202. Visit www.
