James “Jimmy” Frederick Diehl, Jr., 71, of Westminster, died Wednesday, January 2, 2019 at home. Born August 4, 1947 in Frederick, he was the son of the late James F. Diehl, Sr. and Katherine Elizabeth Wagner Diehl. Jimmy attended the East End School and Johnsville School.

Before retiring he worked at Western Maryland College, now McDaniel and The Arc Carroll County. He was an avid Orioles and Ravens fan and was a friend to all. He is survived by two sisters Mary Ellen Sterner and Esther Dolores Le Gore and a great-nephew, all of Hanover, PA.

Also survived by nieces, nephews and many friends from The Arc Carroll County. The family will receive friends on Monday, January 7, 2019 from 10 to 11 a.m. at Fletcher Funeral & Cremation Services, 254 E. Main St., Westminster. Funeral services will begin at 11 a.m. Interment will be in Meadow Branch Cemetery.
