OBITUARY James Keel Stillman March 4, 1935 – August 28, 2018 James Keel Stillman died peacefully on August 28, 2018 at the age of 83. He was born in Decatur, Illinois on March 4, 1935, the youngest son of the late Warner and Gertrude Stillman. On August 12, 1956, Jim married Jeanne Littleton, and together they recently celebrated 62 years of marriage.

Jim had been a resident of Austin since 1989 and enjoyed a long, full life. He graduated from Millikin University, Decatur, Illinois in 1957 where he was a member of Delta Sigma Phi fraternity and played baseball. After graduation, he was drafted and stationed at Ft.

Hood and then in Frankfurt, Germany. After returning to the United States, he and his wife and daughters made their home in Dallas, Texas. He was employed by Sears, Roebuck and Company and worked his way to the position of restaurant planner and equipment buyer.

While employed by Sears he worked in stores throughout Texas and eventually in the Sears Tower in Chicago. He retired from Sears in 1983. During his life, Jim enjoyed many activities.

He was a member of Westlake Hills Presbyterian Church where he attended regularly and served as an usher. Through his church, he volunteered at Manos de Cristo. He served on the Estates of Barton Creek Homeowners Association, and was involved in the Sears Retirement Group.

He travelled all over the world, taking many cruises with his wife. He will be greatly missed by his family and remembered as a loving husband, devoted father, and proud grandfather. Jim was preceded in death by his parents, Warner and Gertrude; his brother William Stillman; and sisters Betty Carr and Dorothy Good.

He is survived by his wife, Jeanne Stillman and their dog Rosie; daughters Cynthia Little and her husband Ken of Manitowoc, Wisconsin, Susan Arnold and her husband Patrick of Cumming, Georgia; and grandchildren James Taipale, Joel Taipale, and Emma Little. A Memorial Service will be held at 2:00 PM on Monday, September 10, 2018 at Westlake Presbyterian Church, located at 7127 Bee Caves Road in Austin, Texas 78746. Memorials may be made to Manos de Cristo and Westlake Hills Presbyterian Church.
