OBITUARY James L Mallicoat July 10, 1951 – November 19, 2018 Jimmy Mallicoat, 67, passed away peacefully at his home on November 19, 2018. Jimmy was a resident of Jacksonville his entire life and was well loved and respected in the community. Jimmy loved his family and always sought to help others.

He is survived by his wife of 31 years, Sandy Mallicoat; son, Justin Mallicoat and fiancé, Taylor Eve Green; daughter, Keri Mallicoat and her fiancé, Connor Read; and a brother, Don Mallicoat. He is also survived by a nephew, Bob Mallicoat and his family; three nieces: Kim Mallicoat Davis and her family, Kristen Childress and her family, and Stephanie Housch. Mr. Mallicoat is survived by an aunt and uncle Sue and Ronnie Bryan and numerous cousins and beloved friends.

Jimmy is preceded in death by his parents James M. and Rilla Frances Striplin Mallicoat. Per his request, there will be no visitation or service for Mr. Mallicoat. Jimmy will be remembered for his compassionate and loving heart, his joyful spirit and his generosity in helping others.

In his memory, his family encourages all to pay it forward to someone in need of a helping hand.
