Anniston – A Celebration of Life Service for Mr. Jesse Ray Brannon, Jr., 71, will be held on Tuesday, November 13, 2018, at 7:00 p.m. at Church on the Rock in Anniston. The family will receive friends at the church one hour prior to the service. Mr. Brannon gained his Heavenly home on Sunday, November 11, 2018, surrounded by his loving family.

Mr. Brannon is survived by his wife of 50 years, Julie Ann Brown Brannon; three children, Jeffrey (Lindsay) Brannon of Cullman, Amy (Andrew) Burns of Oxford, and Jessica (Griffin) Herb of Jacksonville; nine grandchildren, Kaitlyn, Hunter, Juliana, and Blakely Brannon, Luke, Ashlyn and Asa Burns, and Jasmine and Emmy Herb; one brother, David Brannon of Alexandria; and one sister, Sandra (Wayne) Blisard of Cullman. Mr. Brannon was a member of Church on the Rock in Anniston. He retired after 35 years from the Anniston Army Depot where he worked as a computer programmer.

Mr. Brannon served his country during the Vietnam War Era in the US Navy. He was a loving husband, father, brother, and PopPop, who loved spending time with his grandchildren and enjoyed hunting and fishing in his spare time. Mr. Brannon will be greatly missed by those who knew and loved him.

In lieu of flowers, the family has asked that donations please be made to the Children’s Church Ministry at Church on the Rock, 305 Embry Street, Anniston, AL 36201.
