OBITUARY Cloyce Berton Hammonds February 17, 1939 – December 25, 2018 Funeral service for Cloyce B. Hammonds, 79, of Wellington, will be 1 pm Friday, December 28, 2018, Post Oak Springs Baptist Church with Dr. Deryl Wood and Rev. Larry Bollinger officiating. Burial will follow at Crook Cemetery.

The family will receive friends on Friday from 11 -1 at the church. Mr. Hammonds passed away on Tuesday at Gadsden Regional Medical Center. Survivors include his wife of 58 years, Mary Faye Hammonds, one daughter, Benita Hammonds Morris (Greg) one son, Bryan Hammonds (Mary).

Mr. Hammonds is preceded in death by his parents Louis and Edna Hammonds. Pallbearers will be Sonny Ginn, Todd Ginn, Tony Ginn, Bryant Ginn, Wilson Richardson, Brandon Rich and Jerry Bryant. Honorary Pallbearers will be Deacons of Post Oak Springs Baptist Church and the Calhoun County Farmers Federation Directors.

In Lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Post Oak Springs Baptist Church, 2427 Post Oak Road, Jacksonville, AL 36265. Mr. Hammonds was a native and lifelong resident of Calhoun County. He was a lifelong farmer.

Mr. Hammonds was a member of the Calhoun County Cattleman Association, He was on the Board of Directors for ALFA Insurance, Board of Directors for the Calhoun County Co-op, Board of Farmers Home Administration, he was President of the Calhoun County Farmers Federation. Mr. Hammonds was a lifelong member of Post Oak Springs Baptist Church where he served as Deacon and Sunday School Superintendent. Mr. Hammonds worked with the youth and the Golden Agers at Post Oak Springs Baptist Church.
