Funeral service for Herman John “Junior” Reaves, 89, will be Friday, December 28, 2018 at 2 p.m. at Anniston Memorial Funeral Home with Rev. James Cohorn officiating. Private burial will follow at Anniston Memorial Gardens.

The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service. Survivors include his loving wife of 68 years, Mary Gay Turley Reaves; son, Tony Reaves and wife, Brenda; grandchildren, Beth Reaves (Corey King) and Bret Reaves (Jennifer); great-grandchildren, Blake Willingham and Bella Reaves; one sister, Judy Reaves Bondarchuk (Walt) and many nieces and nephews. “Pop”, as he was known to his family and many friends, was always smiling when out and about and loved visiting with everyone.

He was a Veteran of the U S Air Force, retired from McWane Water Pipe after 33 years and owned a used car lot for many years. He was a life-long resident of Oxford, a member of Parker Memorial Baptist Church being the last surviving member of the Baraca Sunday School Class and a member of the American Legion Post 155.
