Weaver – Funeral services for SFC Jerry Edmond Morris, 75, will be held at Anniston Memorial Funeral Home on Wednesday, December 12, 2018, at 2:00 p.m. Jerry Willingham will be officiating. Burial will follow the service in Anniston Memorial Gardens with full military honors. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Tuesday, December 11, 2018, from 6-8 p.m. SFC Morris died on Sunday, December 9, 2018 at his residence.

SFC Morris is survived by his wife, Johnnie Morris of Weaver; his children, Jerry E. Morris, Jr. of Weaver and Pamela Jean Morris of Heflin; eight grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; one brother, William G. Morris of Saks; and several nieces and nephews. SFC Morris served his country in the US Navy and the US Army, where he retired from service after 22 years. He fought in Vietnam from 1966-1967 where he earned a Purple Heart.

SFC Morris was a member of the NRA and loved fishing and hunting. His family his family dearly and will be greatly missed by those who knew and loved him. SFC Morris was preceded in death by his brother, Bobby Morris.
