Anniston – Graveside services for Mrs. Johnnie Faye Hyder, 83, will be held on Tuesday, December 11, 2018, at 2:00 p.m. in Edgemont Cemetery. There will be no visitation per the family’s request. Mrs. Hyder died on Friday, December 7, 2018 at RMC in Anniston.

She is survived by her three children, Harvey (Christie) Gaither of Anniston, Theresa (Larry) Ford of Baird, TX, and Melissa (Rodney) Stevens of Anniston; eight grandchildren, Kirk (Madison) Gaither of Anniston and Reayah Ford, Sarah Ford, Yahnathan Ford, David Ford, Tehillah Ford, and Adan Ford, all of Baird, TX, and Garrett Stevens (fiancé, Lindsey Gaskin) of Anniston; one great-grandchild, Ellie Gaither of Anniston; one sister, Doris Cotton; one niece, Vickie (Dennis) Pontero; and one nephew, Mike Cotton. Mrs. Hyder was preceded in death by her parents, Ray and Helen Murray McCormick; her husband, Sherman Hyder; and one grandson, Joshua Gaither. The family would like to extend a special thanks to Sonja, Linda Lou and, Billy, for their continued visits with Mrs. Hyder.
