Robert Bobby Howell , June 06, 1953 — December 15, 2018

Ohatchee – A Celebration of Life service for Mr. Robert “Bobby” Howell, 65, will be held on Monday, December 17, 2018, at 10:00 a.m. at Westwood Baptist Church, 41 State Farm Road, Alexandria, AL 36250. Pastor Rodney Clingan and Bro. Bryan Camp will be officiating.

The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service. “We are confident, yes, well pleased rather, to be absent from the body is to be present with the Lord. Therefore we make it our aim, whether present or absent, to be well pleasing to Him”.

2 Corinthians 5:8-9. Bobby went to be with Jesus on Saturday, December 15, 2018. Bobby was a faithful follower of Jesus and a faithful member of Westwood Baptist Church.

He was born the second son to the late Howard and Datha Howell, in Anniston, Alabama. Bobby was a little brother to Barry and a big brother to Eddie, both of whom preceded him in death. He was a devoted husband, father and grandfather and was an avid hunter and fisherman who enjoyed teaching his grandchildren and others to hunt and fish.

Bobby never met a stranger and had a great sense of humor. He had a special way of playing jokes on people and aggravating those he knew. On Saturdays you would find Bobby cheering on the Crimson Tide.

Even though he had been sick for a long time, Bobby never gave up; he just kept going. He was deeply loved by his family and the many friends he made through the years. Bobby leaves behind to cherish his memory, his wife of 43 years and nine months, Tina Wells Howell of Ohatchee; his daughter, Cantina (Bryan) Camp of Lawrenceburg, TN; five grandchildren, Isaac, Sarah, Elijah, Timothy, and Joanna Camp, all of Lawrenceburg, TN; his uncle, Roy Lee Howell of Tuscaloosa; his niece, Dodey (Charles) Roughton of Prattville; two great-nieces, Ella and Leah Roughton, both of Prattville; and a host of cousins, other family members, neighbors and close friends.
