Beloved brother of Rose Maturo and Lori Kelly (Jack); nephew John Jr., niece Cherie Burt (Fred); two great nephews Daven and Levi, as well as an extensive collection of loving family and friends, and River Rats. He was predeceased by his father James L. Maturo Sr., mother Lorraine (Lehman), nephew David Kelly, and Godson Billy Walton.

Jim joined the US Army in 1976 in which he served in Germany, and was honorably discharged in 1979. He will be remembered for his great sense of humor, joking around, and especially for his kindness that touched so many lives. He had coached the Paulsboro Oilers football team, loved drag racing at Atco; loved music, concerts, hunting, fishing, going to the Mummers’ Parades, and also loved his “pride and joy” gun collection in which every New Year’s Eve, a tradition, he would shoot off at midnight.

Family and friends are invited to his Memorial this Friday, Feb 1st, 9:30am at Landolfi Funeral Home, 300 W. Broad St., Paulsboro, NJ, where a funeral service will follow at 11am with Inurnment at the Veterans Memorial Cemetery, 240 N. Tuckahoe Rd. , Williamstown, NJ.
