James L. Carroll passed away on May 1, 2018. He was 81. Born in Bronx, NY on June 24, 1936 to James and Helen T. (Lyons) Carroll, he served in the United States Marine Corps during the Korean Conflict.

He moved to Sleepy Hollow 30 years ago and had worked in the Deli Department at Stop & Shop in Ossining for 20 years. Jim was an avid reader and coin collector. He was a loyal friend to many and will be missed.

He is survived by his loving companion Helen Stafford, her daughter and son-in-law, his sister Ellen (Tom) Vitale, a niece, nephew and their children along with Sister Michaelene Lyons one of many special cousins. Visitation will be on Thursday from 4PM to 8PM at Coffey Funeral Home where services will be held at 10:00 AM on Friday. Interment with military honors will follow at Calvary Cemetery in White Plains.

In lieu of flowers, donations to Rosary Hill Home 600 Linda Avenue Hawthorne, NY 10532 would be appreciated.
