Obituary for James Luther Burrows James L. Burrows June 30, 1944 – May 25, 2018 James Luther Burrows born in San Antonio, Texas on June 30, 1944; went to be with the Lord on May 25, 2018 at the age of 73. James attended St. Gerard High School; worked for Merchants Fast Motor Lines for 32 years and for Lange Freight Lines where he retired. James loved his family and enjoyed traveling, fishing and gardening.

He is preceded in death by his mother Margaret Steele Vasquez and aunt Louise Ortiz Clarke. Survivors include his loving wife of 38 years Shirley Ann Burrows, brother in law Raymond Schimcek and wife Dana, nieces Shelby and Christina Schimcek and family pet Molly. The family would like to extend special thanks to Donna and Butch Henderson for their loving care and support.

In lieu of flowers donations made to the Guadalupana Society of St. Anthony’s Catholic Church P.O. Box 248 Elmendorf, Texas 78112 or charity of choice. Visitation will begin on Thursday, May 31, 2018 at 5:00 p.m. with a rosary to begin at 7:00 p.m. at Mission Park Funeral Chapels South. Funeral mass will be celebrated on Friday, June 1, 2018 at 10:00 a.m. at St. Anthony’s Catholic Church in Elmendorf, Texas with a 9:30 a.m. procession from the funeral home.
