OBITUARY James “Lyn” McCandless October 22, 1966 – November 1, 2018 James “Lyn” McCandless, Jr., 52, of New Bern, passed away on Thursday, November 1st, 2018. Lyn loved his family dearly and was a very kind hearted and compassionate person who cared about others. He had a great sense of humor, enjoyed good food and loved to talk about cars and motorcycles.

He is survived by his parents, Lynwood and Joyce McCandless; two sisters, Beth McCandless and Erica Ramsey (Matt); and several nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends from 6 to 7 p.m. on Monday, November 5th at the New Bern Church of God, followed by a service at 7 p.m. Burial will be private. Arrangements are by Cotten Funeral Home & Crematory.
