James Michael Bowersock Sr., 68, of Wooster, died Thursday, September 13, 2018 at LifeCare Hospice, after a long battle with cancer. Friends may call Monday from 4:00 to 6:00 p.m. at Roberts Funeral Home-Sherwood Chapel, Wooster. Funeral services will be Tuesday at 11:00 at the funeral home with Pastor Tim Boucher officiating.

Burial will be at Sherwood Memorial Gardens. Online tributes may be made at www. RobertsFuneralHome.com.

Memorial contributions may be made to LifeCare Hospice 1900 Akron Road Wooster, Ohio 44691. James was born January 13, 1950 in Lodi, Ohio to Clarence Junior and Helen Jeanette {Keener} Bowersock. He graduated from Northwestern High School in 1968.

James married Diana Lynn Allum on June 30, 1978. He worked at Akron Brass and Tek4, before his retirement. He loved to play golf and bowl, but always put his family first.

James will be deeply missed by his wife Diana Bowersock of Wooster; children James (Lori) Bowersock Jr. of Wooster, Angela (Travis) Bloomer of Arizona, Heather (Chris) Mark of West Salem, and Gregory (Joscelyn) Bowersock of North Carolina; grandchildren Jonathan (Lisa), Joshua, Rachael (Sam), Zachary, Mackenzi, Madolyn, James, Lacey, Colton, and Hayden; many great-grandchildren; sisters Vikki (Gary) Richards and Karen (Jeff) Evans.
