James’ Obituary James O. Davis, 64 of Jesup died Tuesday, May 14, 2019 after a short illness. The former Alpine, Tx. resident had lived in Wayne County the past year.

The retired police officer enjoyed working with leather while making boots, gun holsters and anything to aid police officers. He also was a talented gunsmith and wood carver. He was predeceased by his wife, Malinda Mathers Davis; father, Robert Davis.

Survivors are his daughter, Monica (Cesar) Garcia of Friona, Tx. ; two granddaughters, Nastassia Luna, Nicolette Guerra; grandson, Elijah Garcia; mother, Lillie Kirby Davis of Jesup; brothers, Wayne Davis of Alpine, Tx. ; Tommy Davis of Canyon, Tx.

, and Bobby Davis of Amarillo, Tx. ; step-daughter, Liz Guerra of Friona Tx. ; several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be 3 PM, Sunday, May 19, 2019 at Rinehart and Sons Chapel with Rev. Stanley Todd officiating. Interment will follow in George Cemetery.

Active pallbearers will be family. Visitation will be one hour prior to services at chapel. Rinehart and Sons Funeral Home of Jesup is in charge of arrangements.
