Obituary for James P. Walters James “Jim” Walters, U.S. Army veteran, avid hunter and fisherman James Paul “Jim” Walters of South Wales, formerly of Holland, died on June 12, 2018 after a long battle with cancer. He was 78. Jim, the son of Joseph S. and Mary V. (Pitonack) Walters, was born in Buffalo on Feb.

8, 1940 and grew up in Holland, where he was a Holland Central School graduate. A veteran of the U.S. Army, Jim was then employed by Fisher Price in East Aurora and retired from KML in Cowlesville. He was an avid hunter and fisherman and enjoyed gardening and model trains.

He enjoyed bowling and in the late 1970s he appeared on Bowling For Dollars. He leaves behind a sister, Elizabeth “Betty Jo” (Svend) Fredstrup of Chandler, AZ. ; three brothers, Joseph Walters of South Wales, William “Bill” (Patty) Walters of South Wales and John (Janice) Walters of Howell, Mich.

; a step-daughter, Roberta Kunselman of Pennsylvania and her children and grandchild; nieces, Crissi Lukowski (John Hoffman) of Delevan, Cheryl (Rob) DiLullo of Gilbert, AZ. and Michelle (Mark) Strub of Springville; nephews, John (Rebecca) Walters of Howell, Mich. , Gary (Shelly) Walters of Fairmont, W.V. and Chris (Rhonda) Walters of Whitmore Lake, Mich.

; and several great-nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, a niece, Theresa Lukowski Byrns, a great niece, Theresa Hintz, and several aunts and uncles, preceded him in death. A memorial service will be held at a later date.
