Mr. James Shannon Abraham was born November 10, 1971 to the union of Elias and Bernice Abraham. James was called home on September 15, 2018 by his Heavenly Father to be with his parents, his big sister Glenda Stone, his big brother Dwayne Abraham, nephew Earl Mentor, maternal grandparents Ora Coleman, Jordell Sasser, paternal grandparents Stella Maple and RM Abraham and two uncles Johnny and Willie Maple. James received Christ as his Lord and Savior at an early age.

He received his education from the Kansas City, Missouri School District. He worked at HLS for nineteen years until his health began to fail. On September 7, 2013, he married his soulmate Kiva Garcia.

As a united family they shared five children. James enjoyed being with his family and friends, listening to music, fishing and most of all telling jokes. He would not be James Abraham without that sense of humor.

James leaves to cherish his loving and enjoyable memories with his loving wife Kiva; two daughters, Jamesha Abraham (Chicago IL. ) Jocelyn Abraham (Kansas City, Missouri), step-daughter, Ditreonna Robertson (Kansas City, KS) and two stepsons, Montee Woodberry Jr., Antonio Robertson Jr. (Kansas City, KS); brother Terry Abraham; three sisters, Betty Abraham, Sheila (Andrew) Thomas, Robin Abraham all of Kansas City, Missouri. He also leaves seven nephews, Donzell Abraham, Allen Abraham, Jeffery Dixon, Terry Herron, Deon Abraham, Omaree Monroe and Sean Hillard; nine nieces, (his two favorite nieces) Marilynn Lambert, and Seantee’ Rainey, Rhonda Abraham, Ecstahsi Abraham, Aleshia Higgins, Danielle Franklin, Erica Abraham, Ashley Abraham and Alexis Paige; several In-laws; two close friends, Henry Pulling, Sylvester Pryor and a host of family and friends.
