OBITUARY James Timothy Purvis May 5, 1963 – November 5, 2018 James “Jim” Timothy Purvis, 55, of Fort Wayne passed away on Monday, November 5, 2018. Jim was born to John and Betty Purvis on May 5, 1963 in Bath County, Kentucky. He attended school in Fort Wayne.

Jim worked many years in construction. He was known by family and friends affectionately as “Goober”. Jim was a handy man who loved to tinker and work on various projects.

He is survived by mother, Betty Purvis, sister, Kellie (Keith) Smithson, former wife Diana Gammons, son, Brandon Gammons, granddaughter, Madison Martin, as well as many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by father, John Purvis, siblings, Shirley Jean, John Michael, and baby brother Carlie. Visitation will be held at D.O. McComb and Sons Lakeside Park Funeral Home November 9, 2018 from 2-4 and 6-8 pm.

Memorials can be made to Cancer services of Northeast Indiana.
