James “Jim” W. Fink Sr., 78, of Beloit, WI, died on Monday, March 11, 2019 in his home surrounded by loved ones. He was born on September 3, 1940 in Viroqua, WI, the son of Melvin and Belva (Myhre) Fink. James was a 1960 graduate of Beloit Memorial High School.

He married Fay Bronson on February 5, 1994 in Beloit, WI. Jim had numerous jobs including Meri-J Lumberyard, Broaster Co, Sockness Builders, Dwyer Insulation, Swanson’s Spray, Walker Roofing, a Farrier, and Bred & Sold Quarter Horses. Jim aka “Finkster” as all his friends called him, drove semis for Meri-J after his retirement.

He was a member of Messiah Evangelical Lutheran Church, Beloit, WI. Survivors include his wife, Fay of Beloit, WI; children, James (Susan) Fink Jr. of Cottage Grove, WI, Cindy (Jerald) Plummer of Brodhead, WI, Jennifer Blassingame of Anderson, SC, and Shannon (Douglas) Dean of Geneva, OH; stepsons, Mark (Stacey) Lantz and Jeremy (Amy) Lantz Sr.; grandchildren, Matthew (Ashley) Plummer, Madeline (Josh) Laufenberg, Shaneka (Nick) Skelton, Morgan (Matthew Hicks) Cuccaro, Molly, Rebekah, Isaac, and Beth Dean; step grandchildren, Jeremy (Brittany) Jr., and Kourtney Lantz, Stephanie (Eric) Schmidt; great grandchildren, Mavrik, Avalynn, Temperance, and Lennex Plummer, Jordon Laufenberg, Sophia and Bailey Skelton; step great grandchildren, Keygan Lantz and Summer Schmidt; sister, Beverly Bobholz of Sun Prairie, WI; good friend and mother of his children, Sandra Fink of South Beloit, IL; many nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends. He was predeceased by his parents; son, Vaughn Fink; and brother, Jerry Fink.

Visitation of remembrance will be from 9:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. on Monday, March 18, 2019 in the Messiah Evangelical Lutheran Church, 1531 Townline Ave. , Beloit, WI followed by a memorial service beginning at 11:00 a.m. with Pastor Dan Eddy officiating. Daley Murphy Wisch & Associates Funeral Home and Crematorium, 2355 Cranston Rd.

, Beloit, WI, assisted the family with arrangements. Memorials may be given in his name to the Cancer Research Foundation or Beloit Regional Hospice.
