OBITUARY James W. Stapleton November 26, 1932 – December 19, 2018 James W. “Jim” Stapleton, 86 of Arlington Heights was born November 26, 1932 in Chicago to Patrick and Marion (nee Boland) Stapleton and passed away December 19, 2018. Jim, an Air Force veteran, was an active member of Our Lady of the Wayside CFM, a Wake Liturgist, a Eucharistic Minister, an avid golfer and a Chicago Bears and Notre Dame Football fan. Jim was the beloved husband of 57 years of the late Winifred “Winnie”; loving father of Michael (Sandy) Stapleton, Dr. Stephen Stapleton, James W. Jr. (Dotty) Stapleton, Diane (Garrick) Abezetian, Theresa Stapleton, Karen (Dean) Miller and John (Stacy) Stapleton; cherished grandfather of 14; great-grandfather of 5 and dear brother of Michael (Janet) Stapleton, Thomas (Cricket) Stapleton, Eileen Bayley, Margaret (Lloyd) Arnold, Patricia Young and Kathryn Tokars and the late Jack (Flo) Stapleton and Marion Lundy and fond uncle of many nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be Thursday, December 20, 2018 from 3-8 PM at Lauterburg & Oehler Funeral Home, 2000 E. Northwest Highway, Arlington Heights and Friday, December 21 at Our Lady of the Wayside Church, 440 S. Mitchell Street, Arlington Heights from 10:00 AM until the time of the Funeral Mass at 11:00 AM. Interment will be private. In lieu of flowers, contributions to the Gloria Rebeck Scholarship Fund c/o Our Lady of the Wayside Church or Rainbow Hospice Ark, 7435 W. Talcott Avenue, Chicago, IL 60631 appreciated.
