James William Abert (Jim), 74, of Ashford, CT passed away on February 26, 2019. He was born September 27, 1944 to the late Everett Paul and late Willie Lucille (Carlisle) Abert. As a retired telephone engineer from SNET in New Haven, CT, Jim enjoyed his days singing, playing guitar, bowling, golfing, and watching football or golf.

Jim’s enthusiasm for musicals fueled his passion to pursue acting in and building sets for many community theater performances throughout CT and GA, where he previously lived. Jim is survived by his brother Paul Abert and Dianne Abert, sister Peggy Thomson and Bruce Thomson, and brother John Abert. He is also survived by his daughter Carrie Panepinto and Mark Panepinto, daughter Michele Lane and William Lane, and Jamie Miller and Craig Miller.

He leaves 7 beautiful grandchildren, Eddie, Will, Gianna, Lucy, Craig, Annalena, and Lincoln. The family will be holding private services at a future date.
