Obituary for James William “Bill” Lowry Marlow: James William “Bill” Lowry, departed this life on Monday, May 21, 2018 in Marlow at the age of 89. Graveside Services will be held at 10:00 AM, Friday, May 25,2018, at the Marlow Cemetery, with Bishop Tom Cross and Brother Walter Elliott officiating. All arrangements have been entrusted to Callaway-Smith-Cobb Funeral and Cremation Services in Marlow.

James was born Thursday, December 13, 1928 in Los Angeles, CA, to John Ellis and Nanny Ardella (Howell) Lowry. He spent most of his life in California where he attended school at Allan Hancock. He moved to Marlow in 1993.

He married the love of his life, Jacqueline Lee Simpson on September 8, 1951 in Tucson, Arizona. They were married for 58 years before her passing on March 11, 2010. He served in the United States Air Force and retired after many years of service.

He liked to travel, paint, and build model airplanes. He was a master woodworker that enjoyed building and was always doodling. He enjoyed researching family history as well.

Survivors include, son, John Ellis Lowry and wife Susan Diane of Van Horn, TX, daughter, Viki Lynn Elliott and husband Walter Henry of Limestone, ME, daughter, Donna Lee Lowry of Marlow, 9 Grandchildren, 29 Great-Grandchildren, 4 Great Great Grandchildren. He was also survived by numerous nieces and nephews Along with his wife, he was preceded in death by his parents, 2 brothers, John Ellis Lowry, Jr., Gene Lowry, 4 sisters, Enid Beth Long, Charlene Rae Lint, Nancy Rockenbaugh, Lois Lowry.
