OBITUARY James William Coffey February 14, 1938 – October 23, 2018 James William Coffey, age 80, of Ellenton, Florida passed away on Tuesday October 23, 2018. James was born February 14, 1938 in Brooklyn, New York. He was a coach and player in wheelchair basketball and belonged to the Brooklyn Whirl-A-Way.

Jim also was a member of wheelchair bowling and member of American Cribbage Congress. He mentored both disabled and non disabled youth. He is survived by his daughter, Carolyn Marchbank (Randy) of Sarasota and grandchildren, Randall Marchbank (Christina) of Sarasota, Ronald Marchbank of Sarasota and Kara Marchbank of Arizona and 6 great grandchildren.

James is preceded in death by his beloved wife, Karen Jayne Coffey. A graveside service with Military Honors will be held on Monday, October 29, 2018 at 10 AM at Sarasota National Cemetery, 9810 State Rd. 72, Sarasota, FL 34241.
