James Wilson Green September 14, 1940 – January 08, 2019 Share this obituary Local Florists Send Sympathy Gifts Sign Guestbook| Send Private Condolences| Send Sympathy Card Mr. James Wilson Green, age 78, passed away Tuesday, January 8, 2019 at Monroe Manor Health and Rehabilitation Center in Monroeville, AL. Mr. Green was a native and lifelong resident of Monroe County, AL. He was a former butcher for a general store, a driver for a wrecker service and attended the Mexia Baptist Church.

Preceded in death by his wife, Mary Jay Green; his parents, Thomas and Esmer Green; a granddaughter, Amanda Odom; 3 brothers; and 2 sisters. Survivors include: two daughters, Kris Rowell and husband, Woodrow of Fairhope, AL, and Kim Brooks and husband, J.P. of Frisco City, AL; 5 grandchildren; and 13 great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be Thursday, January 10, 2019 at 1:00 P.M. at Monroe Chapel Funeral Home with Rev.

Wayne McMillian officiating. Burial will follow at Mexia Cemetery. Visitation will be Thursday from 11:30 A.M. until funeral time at Monroe Chapel Funeral home.
