OBITUARY James Worth Boykin Sr August 21, 1937 – September 16, 2018 James Worth Boykin Sr. passed away on September 16, 2018 in McKinney, TX. He grew up in the Pasadena/Clear Lake area with his siblings, Earl, Randy, and Kaye. As a child, James delivered newspapers for the Houston Chronicle with his brother, Earl.

He played baseball in middle school and local softball after college. James graduated from Pasadena High school, attended Texas A&M and played the clarinet in the marching band there. He served a two year stint in the U. S. Army, and then attended the University of Houston, where he studied Business.

After completing his education, James worked for St. Joe Paper Company for 30+ years. He married Linda Allen on July 20, 1963 and they had two boys, Jim and Michael. James was always an active church member and was baptized at First Baptist Pasadena.

He will be fondly remembered for his love of Bluebell ice cream, Gardner state park, Dr. Pepper, and country music, especially Willie Nelson.
