James M. Young, age 85, of the Town of Schley, Lincoln County, passed away on Friday, November 2, 2018, at Ascension Good Samaritan Hospital, Merrill. Jim was born April 8, 1933, in Merrill, son of the late Merton and Clara Young. He married Marcella Koepke in 1978, and she survives.

Jim was a retired employee of the former W.C.A. Industries, Merrill. Jim is survived by his wife Marcella Young, Merrill; his children, Carol (Gary) Hartwig, James Young, Dian Plautz, (Tim Sprenger), all of Merrill, Bonnie (Tim) Banaszak, Waupaca, and Tom and Jeff Young, both of Merrill; his step children, Martha (Tom) Johnson and Peggy (Jim) Schaupp, both of Merrill, and Rick (Paula) Marnholtz, Cambridge, Minnesota; several grandchildren, great grandchildren, and great great grandchildren; and one sister, Eileen Lipke, Merrill.

Besides his parents, Jim is preceded in death by two sons, John and David Young; a stepson, Roger Weisman; three grandchildren, Tracy Banaszak, Damon Johnson, and Baby Boy Wiesman; his siblings, Luella Henderson, Ila Reek, and Elwin, Merton, Harland, and Rose Young; and his favorite dog ‘Johnnie’. At Jim’s request no services will be held. The Taylor-Stine Funeral Home & Cremation Services, Merrill, is assisting the Young family.
