James Alexander Edmonds passed away on Tuesday October 9th, 2018 surrounded by family after courageously battling cancer for the past two years. James was born to parents, Teresa Byrne Edmonds and Robert Edmonds on December 20, 2004 in Hoboken, NJ. James was kind, smart, had a great sense of humor, was always curious and possessed a beautiful smile.

He showed amazing bravery over the past two years, he rarely complained and always kept a positive outlook throughout his illness. In his short life he was lucky to enjoy many close and wonderful friendships and a large extended family who loved him dearly. An 8th grader at Chagrin Falls Middle School, he loved spending time with his sister, Elizabeth, his family, and his many dear friends.

He loved his dog Lilly, playing and watching sports (especially the Browns), looking at the stars, traveling, being by the ocean and in nature, riding roller coasters, and, of course, playing X-box with his friends. He will remain in all of our hearts forever. He is survived by his parents, Teresa and Rob Edmonds; his sister, Elizabeth; his maternal grandmother, Sara Byrne; his Aunt, Liz Crowther and Uncle, Clark Crowther; his Uncle, Colin Byrne and Aunt, Julie Gronlund; his Aunt, Jane Edmonds and Uncle, Ray Edmonds; his Aunt, Tina Edmonds and Uncle, John Edmonds; his Uncle, Dave Edmonds and Aunt, Diane Edmonds; his Uncle, Richard Edmonds and Aunt, Kat Edmonds; his first cousins: Sara Crowther, Kelly Edmonds, Cory Byrne, Tom Edmonds, Mary Crowther, Philip Crowther, Joe Edmonds, Ramsey Byrne, Rhiann Edmonds, Owen Edmonds, Madison Edmonds, Tate Edmonds, and Blake Edmonds; and his extended family throughout the US and England.

A memorial service will be held on Monday, October 15th, 2018 at 11:00 a.m. at St. Joan of Arc Catholic Church in Chagrin Falls. In lieu of flowers please make donations to Children’s Cancer Therapy Development Institute, www. cc-tdi.org/ , 12655 SW Beaverdam Rd.
