She was 69 years old. She is survived in death by her husband, Ricky Slaton; her mother, Mildred Johnson; and her sisters, Susan Johnson and Pam Norwood. She was preceded in death by her beloved daughter, Gina Slaton; her sister, Judy Irvin; her brothers, Dale and Timmy Johnson; and her father, Billy Johnson.

Jan showed love and kindness to everyone she met. Visitation will be Thursday January 10, 2019 12pm-2pm at Carr Funeral Home. Funeral Service will be at 2pm at Carr Funeral Home Chapel.

Burial to follow in Marshall Memory Gardens. Serving as pallbearers;Scott Nelson, Steve Campbell, Danny McDuffie, Edward Johnson, Caleb Nailer, Royce Baucom. Honorary Pallbearer is Parker Nelson.
