Funeral services will be held at 11:00am on Thursday, January 3, 2019 at the Decorah Lutheran Church, 309 Winnebago Street in Decorah Visitation will be from 4:00 – 7:00pm on Wednesday, January 2, 2019 at the Schluter-Balik Funeral Home, 604 South Ave in Decorah and also after 10:00am at the church on Thursday morning. Jane (Fenske) Brandt was born May 25, 1949 in Cresco, to Lloyd and Pearl (Knutson) Fenske.

Jane graduated from Cresco High School on May 25, 1968. Jane married Jim Brandt on their farm on July 6, 1986. Jane was a waitress at local restaurants Ronnie’s Café, Clarksville Diner, Burl’s and the Family Table.

She enjoyed going out to eat, gambling, dancing to the Buck Hollow Band and the Memory Brothers, and most of all she enjoyed her family, Jane is survived by her husband: Jim; her children: Lori Christen, Decorah, Junior Fritz, Oklahoma, Peggy Huntley, Rockford, IA, Stevie (Kindra) Fritz, Decorah, IA and Terry Brandt, Charles City, IA. Grandchildren Casey (Louis) Neuzil, Carson Christen (Jaime Kelleher), Karissa Fritz, Cayden Fritz, Hunter McGee, James Fuller, Jordan Harms, Jade (James) Roberts, Mary (Ben) Gruver, Brian Fenske, Tony Schobert and James Mohlis. Great grandchildren: Aleah, Nakoma, Liam, Alex, Haily, Emma, Brandtley, Hayzal, Lainey, Eva, Chloe, Ethan and Dean.

Sister: Judy (Steve) Davidson, Chatsworth, CA, Brother: Jimmy (Vicki) Fenske, Goldfield, IA, Sister-in-law: Jean Fenske, Alexandria, LA. She also has many cousins, nieces and nephews. Jane was preceded in death by her parents: Lloyd and Pearl (Knutson) Fenske, Brothers: Bobby Fenske, Billy and Barb Fenske, Tommy Fenske, Larry Fenske and Eddie Arthur Fenske in infancy, Sister: June (Joe) Boulman.
