Jane’s Obituary Jane M. Wallace McMahon, 91, went home in peace to her heavenly Father on Tuesday, May 7, 2019, where her spirit now rejoices in the presence of her Lord and Savior Christ Jesus. She was born 1927, in Colon, Panama, to U.S. Naval Officer George Griffin Herring Jr., of Harrisonburg, VA, and Ferieda Margaret Ball Herring, both deceased. She leaves behind a precious testimony of enduring faith in Christ Jesus for her daughter, Jan Wallace Pollner; her son, Jay Raymond Wallace II; her five grandchildren, Amanda, Shayna, Sarah, Christen, and Daniel; and her three great-grandchildren, Ezekiel, Eden, and Isaiah.

She was preceded in death by two husbands, COL Jay Raymond Wallace, USAF, and LCDR John J. McMahon, USN; a brother, George Griffin Herring III, and a sister, Nancy H. Stuart. Jane’s mortal body was lovingly laid to rest at Duck Run Natural Cemetery in Penn Laird, VA, in a private family ceremony, in full assurance of the future resurrection of the dead to eternal life.
