OBITUARY Janell P. Kersh September 20, 1935 – October 3, 2018 Janell Pruitt Kersh, 83, passed away Wednesday, October 3, 2018, while surrounded by her family at home. Visitation will be 5:00-8:00pm, Friday, October 5, 2018, at Baldwin-Lee Funeral Home in Pearl. Funeral services are 2:00pm, Saturday, October 6, 2018, in the funeral home chapel with interment in Floral Hills Memory Gardens.

Janell was born September 20, 1935, in Scott County, a daughter of the late Curtis L. Pruitt and Allie Harrell Pruitt. She was a member of the Methodist faith. Janell worked for several years at the Weyerhauser Company and for Jackson Tile.

She retired from WalMart in South Jackson, where she was beloved by both co-workers and customers, after more than 25 years of faithful service as a door greeter. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by son, Curtis Samuel Kersh; grandson Colton Hall; and brother, Walter Robert Pruitt. Survivors include her devoted husband of 64 years and 9 months, Van R. Kersh; son, Robbie Kersh; daughters, Judy Flowers and Bonnie Moore; brother, Bobby Carl Pruitt; 7 grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren, and 1 great-great-grandchild.
