Janet Ann Taylor, 78, passed away on Saturday, May 25, 2019. Graveside services will be 9:00 A.M. on Monday, June 3, 2019 at Dreamland Cemetery in Canyon. Arrangements are by Brooks Funeral Directors.

Janet was born on July 24, 1940 in Amarillo to Jack and Helen Gilmore Taylor. She graduated from the University of Texas and was a member of the Delta, Delta, Delta Sorority. Janet taught piano lessons and was a former board member of the Amarillo Symphony Guild.

She was a music lover, especially classical music. She wrote a musical that was enacted by fellow residents at the Continental House in Amarillo. She was preceded in death by her mother, Helen Gilmore Taylor and her father, Jack Taylor.

Survivors include her sisters, Cynthia Mills of Atlanta, GA and Shelley Marcos of Pflugerville, TX; niece, Emily Freitag of Austin; nephews, David Taylor Mills of Atlanta, Andres Martinez of Dallas and Brandon Marcos of Pflugerville. The family suggests memorials be made to the Amarillo Symphony, P.O. Box 2586 Amarillo, TX 79105.
