OBITUARY Janet Carol Minnis September 11, 1946 – July 17, 2018 Janet C. Minnis OLD TOWN—Janet C. Minnis, 71, died peacefully in the early morning hours of July 17, 2018 with family by her side. She was born September 11, 1946 in Old Town a daughter of Margaret Wescott. Janet proudly served in the US Army.

She enjoyed gardening, loved spending time with family, and loved her animals. She was active in girl scouts. She is survived by three daughters Anne and Paul, Cathy and Kyle, and Becky and Frank; five grandchildren Jenn and Derek, Kristian, Elizabeth, Kenneth, and Katelynn; seven great grandchildren Bryce, Parker, Abiageal, Braedyn, Cailyn, Aiden, and Kevin; two brothers Terry and Kendra and Charlie and Vivian; sister Cheryl, and best friend Robert Berryhill and his wife Sue and his daughters Mindy and Dawn.

She was predeceased by her mother. Friends may call 2-4 PM Sunday July 22, 2018 at Birmingham Funeral Home 438 Main St Old Town. Burial with military honors will be at a later date at S. Joseph Cemetery.
