OBITUARY Patsy Raye Burton March 3, 1943 – October 19, 2018 Patsy Raye Burton MILFORD, ME— Patsy Raye Burton, 75, passed away on October 19, 2018 in Milford, Maine. Patsy was born in Many, Louisiana to George and Ruth Litton on March 3, 1943. She grew up and went to school in Robeline, La.

before marrying Albert Burton on July 15, 1958 and moving to Orono, Maine. She worked as a data entry operator for The University of Maine for many years before retiring and relocating with Albert to North Carolina in 1989. After Al passed away in 2005, Patsy returned to Maine and resided in Milford.

Patsy was involved in the Daughters of Isabel at Saint Mary’s Catholic Church in Orono, enjoyed quilting, reading and playing games with friends and family, and will be fondly remembered for her love and skill of cooking, especially for family gatherings. Patsy is preceded in death by her husband Albert Burton, her son George Burton, sister Peggy Litton and brother Donnie Litton. Patsy is survived by her three daughters, Leisa and her husband Kevin Butler of Lake Waccamaw, NC, Linda Burton and her husband Harry Fergusson of Asheville, NC, and Kim and her husband Jeff Hayward of Old Town, Me.

Patsy is also survived by her sister Virginia of Washington state, sister Carolyn and husband Kenny Jordan of Robeline, La. , sister Bonnie and husband Robert Scott of Robeline, La. , and bother Kenneth Litton and wife Dottie of Springhill, La; seven Grandchildren, Adam Butler and his wife Cristy of Leland, NC.

, Jennifer Hairr and her husband Kevin of Fayetteville, NC. , Matthew Larsen of West Jordan, Utah, Breana Murfin and husband Stephen of Mills River, NC. , Skylar Larsen of Asheville, NC.

, Kayla and Kendra Hayward of Old Town, Me; three great-Grandchildren Chase Butler, Lindsay Butler, and Gavin Hairr; and lifelong friend Carolyn Scott of Milford, Me. A memorial visitation will be from 1 – 3 PM on Saturday, October 27, 2018 at Birmingham Funeral Home at 438 Main St. Old Town, Maine. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Patsy’s name to Parish of the Resurrection, Holy Family Church, 429 Main Street, Old Town, Maine, 04468.
