OBITUARY Ange Aimee Gilbert April 16, 1931 – November 3, 2018 Old Town—Ange Aimee (which means “beloved angel” in French) Gilbert, 87, joined her Lord and Savior, November 3, 2018 at her residence. She was born April 16, 1931 in Saint Zachary, Quebec, Canada a daughter of Adonia and Florence (Fortin) Parent. Angel lived up to her beautiful name, everyone called her Angel because she loved everyone.

She always put her family first. Angel was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and friend to many. In September, she and Pierre celebrated their 65 wedding anniversary.

She enjoyed cooking for her family and friends. She also enjoyed doing word searches every day, and as she would say “to keep my mind fresh”. She loved spending time out to camp and loved taking care of her flowers and her little hummingbirds.

She had the most beautiful flowers at her home and camp. She was loved greatly by her family and she will be greatly missed by all. She is survived by her husband Pierre Gilbert of Old Town; four children Linda Gilbert and her partner Kevin Bennett of CA; Mario Gilbert and his wife Juanita of Alton; Michael Gilbert and his wife Donna of Greenfield, their children, Laurie and Scott Gordon, and grandchildren, Arianna and Spencer, and Dwane and Cheryl Albert and grandchildren, Tristen and Amelia; Theresa Gilbert and her partner John Bashaw of Milford and Jackman; granddaughter Jessica Gilbert Thibodeau and great granddaughter Elaina Thibodeau of Milford and grandson Brendan Gilbert of North Yarmouth; brother Marcel Parent and his wife Celine of Canada; sisters Louisette Rancourt Dennis and Normande Commeau and her husband Andre all of Canada and beloved little sister, Leonette Fortier of Waterville, as well as many nieces and nephews .

She was predeceased by her parents and a brother Eugene Parent. A celebration of life and love will be from 3-5 PM Tuesday at Birmingham Funeral Home 438 Main St Old Town. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 10AM Wednesday at Parish of the Resurrection, Holy Family Church, Old Town.

Burial will follow at Milford Cemetery.
