Janet E. Crabtree, 70 of Wallins passed away on Sunday, May 5, 2019 after a very brief illness. Janet was born January 6, 1949 in Gassaway, West Virginia. Over the years she worked at Harlan Federal Bank and retired from Modern Electric.

She enjoyed gardening and working with her flowers. She believed in the Methodist Faith. She is preceded in death by her parents, Ken and Olive Bunting Bock; daughter, Katie Crabtree; brother, Kenneth Ray Bock.

She is survived by her husband, T.L. Crabtree; daughter, Kenni (Tuck) Griffin; grandchildren, Layne and Matthew Jones, Cody and MacKenzie Griffin; brother, Charlie (Susan) Frame; sisters, Louisa F. (Bohdan) Tkachenko, Margaret (Michael) Braman, Laura (Alan) Hagen; special friends, Sherri Calton and Karen Hensley; a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives also are left to mourn her passing. Visitation will be 11:00 am – 2:00 pm Saturday (May 11) at the Anderson-Laws & Jones Funeral Home. Funeral services will follow at 2:00 pm in the chapel of the Anderson-Laws & Jones Funeral Home.

Private burial will be in the Park Howard Cemetery in Wallins. In lieu of flowers the family ask that memorials be made to the Harlan Animal Shelter. Please feel free to leave a condolence, memory, or photo at www.
