Obituary for Janet Forrest Janet Forrest, 65, of Fort Worth Texas, passed away Saturday, October 20th, 2018. Janet was gifted to this world on the 2nd of September, 1953, to Jack and Louise James on an army base in Panama, Panama Canal Zone. At just 3 days old she traveled home to Texas; grew up in Houston and graduated from Mount Carmel High School.

Shortly after, while working at the local mall, Janet met the love of her life, James Forrest. James, knowing he could let such a beautiful, intelligent, sarcastic, and witty woman get away, proposed marriage to Janet just four months later. The two became man and wife on the 2nd of June, 1973.

The two welcomed their first of two daughters a little over nine months later; and seven years later welcomed their youngest and only son. Janet Forrest was an insanely intelligent, faithful, and caring woman who was fiercely loyal to her family. This did not stop her, though, from subjecting them to her sarcastic, sometimes vulgar, yet always hilarious sense of humor.

She was active in the choir at St. Rita’s, and also in her children’s lives. She was a Girl Scout troop leader, a Confirmation teacher, and a twirling coach. She graduated with a Bachelor’s degree from UT Arlington, and went on to teach AP World History at Seguine High School.

Janet filled her 45 year marriage with the kind of love one wishes for. A headstrong, independent woman who was the epitome of smarts and sass, but also a warm soul, as well as thoughtful and understanding. Everyone who has ever gotten to know her is blessed in doing so.

Janet Forrest was preceded in death by her parents: Jack and Louise (Ramage) James. She is lovingly remembered by her husband of 45 years, James Edward Forrest Sr, her oldest daughter, Jennifer Graves, husband Paul Graves, and grandchildren Maryssa, Taylor, Maddie, and Katelyn, her youngest daughter, Juliet Beechler, husband Ted Beechler, and grandchildren Dakota, Melaina, and Hayden, her only son, James Forrest Jr, his wife Kelly Forrest, and grandchild Gracie, and her siblings Joy Muir, Jack James, and Joseph James. Special thanks to the staff at Lifecare for their outstanding care.
