Janet I. Knerr, 74, of Bay View passed away Thursday, May 9, 2019 in the Firelands Regional Medical Center, Sandusky following a brief illness. She was born in Portsmouth, Ohio to William and Carrie (Childers) Conley on July 4, 1944. Janet was a graduate of Margaretta High School.

She spent her life as a homemaker enjoying her family, her dog Baxter, and doing arts and crafts. She is survived by her son, Jim Knerr, Jr.; grandchildren, Jimmy and Kaylee Knerr of Michigan; nieces, nephews, and other relatives. She was preceded in death by her parents and one sister, Freda Lawrence.

Friends may call from 4:00 PM until time of funeral service at 7:00 PM, Tuesday, May 14, 2019 in the Pfeil Funeral Home, Sandusky Chapel, 617 Columbus Avenue, Sandusky. Private burial will take place later in Calvary Cemetery, Sandusky. Memorial contributions may be made to Bay View Rescue Squad, 304 East Bay View Drive, Sandusky, Ohio 44870.
