Janet L. Schweitzer age 78 of Griffith, passed away on Wednesday, September 26, 2018. She is survived by her son; David (Michelle) Schweitzer; grandsons John and Collin; and by her sister-in-law; Marion Fitzer. She was preceded in death by her husband Howard; parents Roland and Norma Fitzer; and by her brother Alan Fitzer.

Funeral Services are private. Janet was retired from the railroad and she served as a crossing guard for the Griffith Police Department. She was a member of the Griffith Swinging Seniors, and a life member of the Griffith Historical Society.
