Janet L. Smith February 18, 1937 – May 03, 2019 Sign Guestbook| Send Sympathy Card| Memorial Donation Janet L. Smith, age 82, of Eagle River, WI, formerly of Iron River, MI, was taken home by the Lord into his loving arms on Friday, May 3, 2019 at Rennes Health and Rehab Center in Rhinelander, WI. She was born on February 18, 1937 in Crandon, WI; the daughter of the late Russell and Opal (Jarvis) Logan. She attended the Crandon Schools.

She treasured her family more than anything and filled their hearts with love, laughter, and spirit. Janet celebrated the Lord and Savior with her life. She delighted playing music and singing songs and hymns about Jesus.

Her favorite things include baking and cooking for her family and admiring the beautiful nature that God created. She adored the special relationships made with her grandchildren and cherished the special memories they made together. Janet is survived by her son, Kurt (Denise) Nimmer of Oconto, WI; daughters, Pamela (Randy) Alsteen of Eagle River, WI, Candy (Peter) Albrecht of Phelps, WI, Sheila Renz of Burlington, WI, Tonya (Rollie) Wissbroecker of Elcho, WI, and Tammie Nimmer of Burlington, WI; brother, Pete Logan of Iron River, MI; sisters, Juanita McPherson of Menominee, MI, Penny (Don) Haas of Lewiston, MI, and Donna (John) Cosand of, Camden, MI, and Geanie Parker of Iron River, MI; 14 grandchildren; 13 great grandchildren; as well as nieces, nephews and extended family.

She was also preceded in death by her husband, Scott Smith; daughter, Samantha Nimmer; siblings, June Parker, Haskel Parker, Hazel Collins, Helen DeLong, Ben Logan, Larry Logan, Jack Logan, Rosemary Young, and Carol Olsen. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, May 8, 2019 from 10:30 to 11:45 am at the Cornerstone Bible Church in Iron River. Funeral services will follow at noon with Brother Rocky Farley to officiate.

Interment will be in Stambaugh Cemetery.
