Funeral services for Janet Lee Gilmore, 68, of Edgewood, are scheduled for 10:00 am, Tuesday, July 3, 2018, at Cheatham Memorial United Methodist Church in Edgewood. Burial will follow at Small Cemetery in Edgewood. Services are under direction of Hiett’s LyBrand Funeral Home in Edgewood.

Janet passed away June 30, 2018, at her home in Edgewood. Janet Lee Geddie Gilmore was born September 30, 1949, in Dallas, Texas, to the late Clint Peterson Geddie and Wanda Lee Stroud Geddie Erwin. Janet was raised in Dallas and moved to Wills Point in 1963.

She graduated from Wills Point High School in 1968. She attended Texas A&M and graduated with a master’s degree in education. Janet married Clifford Gilmore July 30, 1984, and they lived in the Dallas area.

She taught high school English in Dallas for five years and then retired from Edgewood High School after twenty five years of service. She is a member of Cheatham Memorial United Methodist Church. She is preceded in death by her father, Clint Pete Geddie and his wife, Janelle and mother, Wanda Erwin and husband, Phil.

Janet is survived by her husband, Cliff Gilmore of Edgewood; daughter, Tiffany Powers of Grand Saline; step son, Chris Gilmore of Forney; and step daughter Heather Cerrato and husband Jason of Fate; brothers, Larry Geddie and wife Susan of Corsicana. Jackie Geddie and wife Becky of New Braunfuls; step-sister; Shannon Kirk and husband Jimmy of Crandal; step-brothers, Bobby Jeff and wife Rhonda of Lufkin and Dwayne Jeff of FoColorado; sister-in-law, Donna Cunningham and husband Wiley of Foreman, Arkansas; brother-in-law; Brian Gilmore and wife Deann of Greenville; granddaughters, Courtney Holloway, Kennedy Gilmore, Raegan Gilmore; grandson, Jordan Holloway; great-granddaughters, Ryleigh Simmons, Abi Simmons, Ava Cerrato; great-grandson, Elliott Cerrato and Vincent Holloway; and several nieces and nephews. Family visitation will be held from 6:00-8:00 pm Monday evening in Wills Point.
