Funeral services for Thomas “Tommy” Roscoe Reid, 80, of Edgewood, are scheduled for 2:00 PM, Thursday, November 15, 2018, at Hiett’s LyBrand Funeral Home in Edgewood. Burial will follow at Oak Hill Cemetery. Tommy passed away on Saturday, November 10, 2018, in Tyler, TX.

Thomas Roscoe Reid was born August 2, 1938, in the Willow Springs Community of Edgewood, TX, to parents, James Roscoe Reid and Georgia Louise Dillard. He was a life-long resident of Edgewood and graduated from Edgewood High School. Tommy married Neva Jean Parkerson on September 15, 1956, at Good Hope Baptist Church.

He was a farmer and worked for Morton Salt for a few years. Tommy enjoyed doing things outdoors including gardening. He is preceded in death by his parents, James Roscoe and Georgia Louise Dillard Reid; sister, Linda Joan Page.

Tommy is survived by his wife of sixty-two years, Neva Jean Parkerson Reid of Egdewood; son, Steven D. Reid of Edgewood; daughter, Cynthia Reid of Dallas; granddaughter, Gracie Hartsfield of Edmund, OK; sister, Bernice Ewing of Canton; brothers, Jimmy Reid of Mesquite and Johnny Reid of Canton; brother-in-law, Charles Page of Canton and a host of nieces and nephews. Visitation will be held from 5:00-7:00 PM, Wednesday, November 14, 2018, at Hiett’s LyBrand Funeral Home in Edgewood.
