Janet Ruth Hardy passed away on June 5, 2018 in Charlevoix. Janet was born August 10, 1932 in Charlevoix, Michigan. She attended Ironton’s one room school until 6th grade, then graduated from Charlevoix High School.

During these years Janet met the love of her life, Donald F. Hardy. They were married July 21, 1951, during their 66 years together, they had 4 children; Samuel, Bruce, Donald and Cindy. After Donald worked for several years in Phoenix for the post office, they transferred to Colorado Springs, Colorado, which is now their primary residence.

They enjoy spending time in Phoenix, Colorado Springs and their childhood home in Charlevoix. Janet was preceded in death by her parents, Samuel and Eva King, her sister, Sally Bennett and brothers Lyle and Robert King. She is survived by her beloved husband of 66 years and all four children and spouses, Samuel (Kym) Hardy, Bruce (Anne) Hardy, Donald A. Hardy, Cindy (Paul) Mead all of Colorado Springs, CO along with six grandchildren and three great grandchildren.

Our beautiful mom will be forever missed, but not forgotten. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Friday, June 8, 2018 at the Community Church of God with Pastor Neil Turner officiating. Interment will take place at Brookside Cemetery in Charlevoix.
