Janice M. (French) Gillespie died Saturday, March 16, 2019 in Morton, Texas at the age of 88 years, 3 onths and 17 days. She was born November 29, 1930 in Levelland to E.J. and Annabelle (Cline) French. She married Frank Gillespie in Levelland on November 24, 1949.

Janice graduated from high school in Levelland. She went to work for Southwestern Public Service before working for Willard Cox, buying cotton. She then worked for Cox Auto for 35 years.

Janice is a member of the Eastside Church of Christ in Morton. She is preceded in death by her husband, Frank on April 29, 2008; her parents; one son, Terry Gillespie on May 24, 1993; and three brothers, E.J. French Jr., Gene French and Jack French. Janice is survived by her daughter, Suzanne Gillespie of Morton, Texas; her brother, Joe French of Phoenix, Arizona; three grandchildren, Dane Gillespie, Josh Gillespie and Corey Gillespie; two great-grandchildren, Kyler Gillespie and Aubrey Gillespie; one more great-grandchild on the way.
