Jay’s Obituary Jay Nosie, Jr. of Whiteriver, Arizona passed away on February 3, 2019 in Mesa, Arizona. He was 66 years old. Jay was born on October 27,1952 to the late Jay Nosie, Sr. and Emogene (Clark) Nosie.

Jay grew up and lived in the Old Maverick Town as a child. He was always sharing his fond memories of childhood with his brothers and sisters and the many adventure they had in Maverick. The family also lived in Reserve, New Mexico during his younger years, a time he cherished as well.

He enjoyed “hanging out” with his brothers and cousins during his youth. They were known as the “JD’s Gang” all throughout the Northside. Aunt Ruby’s was the hangout spot for the guys and everyone seemed to now where to find them.

For many years Jay played in a band known as County Image. He played bass for the band and he loved to “jam out”. As a child he also played the harmonica before picking up the bass.

An avid outdoorsman Jay loved taking his family fishing on Saturday and having a fish fry on Sunday. Family was most important to Jay. He is survived by his wife, Marilyn Nosie; children, Faith (Jonathan) Ethelbah and Renaldo Nosie; grandchildren, Theron, Ronell, Rain, Sacred, Easton, Aiden, and Muriel; siblings, Theresa (Victor) Larzelere, Monte (Arlita) Nosie, Darlene (Weldon) Stalkey, Marilyn (Jerry) Smith, Berdina Nosie, Gerald (Theda) Nosie, Stephen Nosie, Geraldine (Lupe Guadalupe) Nosie and Shirlene Nosie; sister-in-law, Dorinda Goode and Marie Burnette; brother-in-law, Harrison (Glorinna) Dayaye and many extended family members and friends.

He is preceded in death by his son, Benjamin Nosie and a brother, Reese Nosie. A one night wake will be held 10:00 A.M. Sunday, February 10, 2019 at the family home in Whiteriver. Funeral Services will be held 10:00 A.M. Monday, February 11, 2019 at the North Fork Miracle Church with the interment to follow in the Manzanita Cemetery.
