Jayne’s Obituary Jayne Blessing Age 95, of Butler Township passed away surrounded by family on Saturday, February 23, 2019, at Stonespring of Vandalia Health Care Center & Rehabilitation in Dayton. Jayne was born February 3, 1924 in Arcanum, Ohio to the late Earl and Mildred (Rice) Howe. In addition to her parents, Jayne was also preceded in death by her loving husband of 42 years, William (Bill); son, William (Billy); brothers, Robert, Glenn, Harold and Jack; and sister, Jeanne (Howe) Foreman.

She is survived by her son, Steve Blessing; daughter-in-law, Paula Blessing; two grandchildren, Jennifer and Kenton (Nicole) Blessing; great grandson, Michael; sister, Judith Becher; sister-in-law, Arlene Howe; and many nieces, nephews, cousins and dear friends. Jayne attended the Old Troy Pike Community Church (fka Hungarian E & R Church). She was a talented seamstress; and enjoyed crocheting/knitting.

Jayne enjoyed volunteering including cooking meals for the homeless and working at area bingo halls over the years including Wegerzyn Gardens, Forest Park, Shopkeeper’s and her church. She enjoyed vacationing with family and friends; and entertaining them at her home. She was an amazing matriarch who instilled tradition and hard work in her family.

Jayne also thoroughly enjoyed working in her flowerbeds and walking around her neighborhood. The family will be receiving family and friends from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m., Thursday, February 28th, at Morton & Whetstone Funeral Home, 139 S. Dixie Dr., Vandalia. Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m., Friday, March 1st, with Rev.

Harry Burchell officiating, at Morton & Whetstone Funeral Home, 139 S. Dixie Dr., Vandalia. She will be laid to rest at Arlington Cemetery, Brookville. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in memory of Jayne to Hospice of Miami Valley, 46 N. Detroit St., Ste.

B, Xenia, OH 45385.
